Lohan facing drink-driving charges
Last Updated: Tuesday, 24 July 2007, 16:09 GMT
Lindsay Lohan was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving
Lindsay Lohan, who just finished a second stint in rehab for substance abuse treatment, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and possession of cocaine, authorities said.
Lohan, who is already facing a drink-driving charge in Beverly Hills, was stopped near the Santa Monica Police Department after authorities were called about a car chasing another vehicle, said Sgt Shane Talbot.
Authorities conducted a field sobriety test on the Herbie: Fully Loaded star and then transported Lohan to the police station. A breath test was conducted and her blood alcohol was between .12% and .13%, Talbot said. California's legal limit is 0.08%.
The 21-year-old actress was booked on two misdemeanour charges of suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended licence and two felony charges of possession of cocaine and transport of a narcotic, Talbot said.

During a pre-booking search, police found cocaine in one of her trouser pockets, Talbot said. Lohan has been released on £12,5000 bail, police said.
Police said they received a call from passengers in a black Cadillac Escalade who said they were being chased by a white Denali 4x4. Police met up with the cars in the car park of Santa Monica's Civic Centre, about a block away from the police department.
When police approached the Denali, they recognised Lohan as the driver. The passengers in the other vehicle apparently knew Lohan, but did not realise it was actress who was chasing them.
Lohan had two passengers in her vehicle. There were three people in the other vehicle, police said.
Last week, Lohan turned herself in to Beverly Hills police to face charges of driving under the influence in connection with May 26 hit-and-run crash.
Her blood-alcohol level at the time of that crash was above the legal limit, authorities said, but would not disclose the level. She also faces a misdemeanour charge of hit and run in that case. _________________ http://bux.to/?r=jades
